A representative of the Accreditation Body of Montenegro (ATCG) participated in the first International Communication Network Meeting, an international gathering of communication professionals from European accreditation bodies, held on 24 June 2026 in Utrecht and jointly organised by the Dutch Accreditation Council (Raad voor Accreditatie – RvA) and the Turkish Accreditation Agency (TÜRKAK). The event brought together representatives of European accreditation bodies and the TIC Council to exchange experiences, strengthen professional cooperation and explore modern approaches to communication in the field of accreditation.
The meeting programme focused on topics of strategic importance for communication within accreditation bodies, including the enhancement of internal and external communication, the role of communication in achieving organisational objectives, the application of artificial intelligence, the development of communication identities within national quality infrastructures, employer branding, and the promotion of international mutual recognition agreements – the EA Multilateral Agreement (EA MLA) and the ILAC/IAF Multilateral Recognition Arrangement (ILAC/IAF MRA). Through presentations, panel discussions and interactive workshops, participants exchanged experiences and good practices in developing communication strategies and strengthening confidence in accreditation.
ATCG made a valuable contribution to the programme, with its representative serving as one of the speakers at the event. During the session dedicated to external communication, she delivered a presentation entitled “Building Through Consistency: Scaling Accreditation in a Small Market”, highlighting the experience of the Accreditation Body of Montenegro in developing and strengthening the national accreditation system in a small-market environment.
The presentation showcased examples of good practice implemented by ATCG in cooperation with public institutions, regulatory authorities, conformity assessment bodies and international partners to promote accreditation and raise awareness of its role in protecting the public interest, supporting economic development and enhancing competitiveness. Particular emphasis was placed on building partnerships, organising professional events, facilitating knowledge exchange and applying digital tools to improve communication with stakeholders.
By presenting its experience at the international level, ATCG further increased the visibility of Montenegro's accreditation system and created new opportunities for strengthening cooperation with European partners. The knowledge gained and experiences exchanged will contribute to the further development of ATCG's communication activities and to promoting the role and value of accreditation in Montenegro.
