The General Assembly of the European co-operation for Accreditation (EA), as the highest decision-making body of this association, was held for the first time in Istanbul, organised by the Turkish national accreditation body – TÜRKAK.

The Assembly was attended by more than 80 high-level representatives of national accreditation bodies, as well as international organisations, from a total of 46 EA member countries.

During the two-day event, in addition to regular meetings, a workshop dedicated to the development of the EA Strategy 2030 was also organised. Participants discussed key topics shaping the future of accreditation, including digital transformation, the application of artificial intelligence and the enhancement of the communication network within the EA community.

The Director of the Accreditation Body of Montenegro (ATCG), Anita Krulanović, participated as a member of the working group for the development of the EA Strategy 2030, together with colleagues from national accreditation bodies: ATS (Serbia), TÜRKAK (Türkiye), BELAC (Belgium), BAS (Bulgaria), Accredia (Italy) and ARMNAB (Armenia).

The participation of ATCG in this important strategic process further confirms Montenegro’s commitment to actively contributing to the development of the accreditation infrastructure in line with European and international standards.
