World Accreditation Day 2025
World Accreditation Day, celebrated annually on 9 June, is a joint initiative of the international accreditation organisations – ILAC and IAF – aimed at promoting the value and importance of accreditation. The theme of this year’s celebration is “Accreditation: Empowering Small and Medium Enterprises”, with a focus on the role that accreditation plays in strengthening the competitiveness and sustainability of the SME sector worldwide.
Small and medium-sized enterprises form the backbone of every economy – employing millions of people, driving innovation and contributing to local communities. Despite this, they often face challenges in terms of market access, building customer confidence and meeting regulatory requirements. Accreditation, as an independent attestation of technical competence and compliance with international standards, can play a key role in overcoming these barriers.
This year’s World Accreditation Day is dedicated precisely to empowering small and medium-sized enterprises.
On this occasion, the Accreditation Body of Montenegro extends its congratulations on 9 June – World Accreditation Day.
